    Dedicated Resources

These resources are the key to our Disaster Recovery Plan at DRATC and will be assigned to your individual recovery needs.

The DRATC TEAM assigned to your account will help develop a comprehensive plan at your direction taking into account your specific requirements. This will include assigning resources that will be dedicated to your exclusive disaster recovery needs.

Once your plan has been agreed upon and the dedicated resources are assigned, then these resources are available for your use within TWO HOURS of your call being placed to DRATC declaring the need. You are covered with this availability 24 hours per day - seven days per week.

DRATC does not dictate to subscribers what hardware is available for their use - you tell DRATC what your requirements are and your dedicated configuration will remain consistent with your needs. Changes will only be made at your direction.

Along with your dedicated resources, DRATC will assign allotted dedicated hardware usage in your basic Disaster Recovery Plan at no additional charge to your subscription. These hours are provided to implement your plan and to help keep your cost down in maintaining your disaster preparedness at DRATC.

The dedicated resources at DRATC are the key to our philosophy of providing a unique program for each individual subscriber’s needs. Top

    Platforms

There are many different CPU Platforms available with a subscription to DRATC

ranging from NT Platforms up to and including ES9000's.

A vast array of peripherals for each CPU Platform is made available as dedicated resources for each individual subscriber’s configuration.

Enough resources are available with these platforms to insure that all subscribers could utilize the DRATC Facility and run at DRATC in case of multiple disasters.

You are not limited to these available platforms as our program is customized to each subscriber and their requirements. Should you have a need that is not covered, then your DRATC TEAM can work with you to see that your specific needs are covered. If it is not installed at this time, it will be when you want it. Top

    Communications

A wide array of communications is possible through and to the facilities at DRATC.

Communications controllers are installed with the computer hardware such as 327X, 317X, 3705 and 3725.

Telephone communications can be handled in a variety of ways including; T1 Service, dedicated and voice grade lines. DRATC has the available facilities to install customized and dedicated communications to your exact specifications. Your requirements are the only limitation.

Your DRATC TEAM will be available to help plan and implement your communications requirements. We can also interface directly with the carriers to insure that your needs are meet and to relieve your staff of this function. Top

The Stages to DRATC’s Recovery Plans

The following will cover STAGE I and STAGE II of DRATC’s plan to implement a Disaster Recovery Program to help insure your continued operation in the case of a disaster.

    STAGE I consists of five steps;

STEP 1 is to sign a base contract with DRATC that will cover completion of this stage. This agreement will cover monthly charges, your allotted monthly processing hours and the equipment configuration of your assigned dedicated resources to be used to complete Step 1.

STEP 2 is to backup your critical data, both business and systems. If there is no data to recover, then recovery is impossible. The backup data will then be stored at DRATC. Several paper records should also be stored offsite at DRATC which would include your production schedules, operating procedures, hardware and software inventories, phone lists, organizational charts, vendor call lists and system manuals (all information necessary to run your system in an unfamiliar site). You would maintain a complete inventory of all backup materials with these inventories being distributed to personnel involved in your Disaster Recovery Plan.

STEP 3 would be to plan and implement the installation of your Operating System onto your dedicated resources at DRATC.

STEP 4 will be concerned with complete testing to your satisfaction of the work done in STEP 3.

STEP 5 is to conduct a formal analysis of your stored data and paper materials, change inventories as required and then set final retention periods and offsite rotation schedules.

    STAGE I is now complete.

    STAGE II consists of the following six steps;

STEP 1 will be to determine your applications priority and then plan to install certain (or all) of your applications onto dedicated resources at DRATC.

STEP 2 will cover an addendum to the DRATC Contract reflecting additional costs to cover your monthly subscription as reflected by the applications to be installed and the additional services to be provided by DRATC.

STEP 3 consists of installing and testing to your satisfaction the applications in STEP 1 on your dedicated resources at DRATC.

STEP 4 is to conduct an analysis of the plan to date and to make any changes as indicated from this analysis.

STEP 5 will be for your personnel and your DRATC TEAM to meet and conduct future planning on the direction of your Disaster Recovery Plan.

STEP 6 is to test your plan as required while setting a schedule for the annual test of the complete Disaster Recovery Plan.

    STAGE II is now complete.

By completing the above stages and maintaining your plan at DRATC you can guarantee that your business will continue in the case of a disaster striking your operation. Top

    DRATC’s Cost Effective Recovery Plans

The main reason that most organizations are not properly prepared for a disaster to their data processing operations is cost. DRATC is your solution to this problem.

Since all subscriptions to DRATC are customized to each individual subscribers requirements, this also means that the cost factor can be tailored to your specific needs. You can determine costs based on these needs starting with a base subscription to DRATC services.

Base subscriptions start at $50.00 per month for single user PC Systems and run to $2,000.00 on larger CPU Platforms. These base subscriptions cover your dedicated hardware configuration, an allotment of usage hours and help from your DRATC TEAM in setting up your base Disaster Recovery Program. Should you have to declare a disaster, then there is no declaration fee in our programs!

The only additional cost to your program at DRATC is an hourly clock charge for facility usage once you have exceeded your allotted hours.

Your dedicated configuration at DRATC and your allotted facility usage can be used for testing and other applications should you find the need. You do not have to have a disaster in order to utilize the DRATC Facility. There are no additional fees for the usage of your dedicated system (within allotted time).

The cost of having a disaster plan or a disaster in your operation will always be less if you and your operation are covered by DRATC.

Remember that you have more control with less cost at DRATC in your disaster recovery planning and implementation. Top
